Electric engines have zero emission, extremely low operating costs, almost zero noise emission, and low level of maintenance.
Their biggest advantage over combustion engines is that electric-powered boats can be used in waters and lakes where combustion engines are banned.
They can be used in all places where it is possible to use combustion-engined boats regularly. In addition, electric boats can be used on inland waters where the use of combustion-engined ones are prohibited.
The installation weight of the eKraft 200 powertrain varies between 400 and 450 kg depending on the size of the hull and other options.
We are currently installing the system into boats with inboard motor and planing hulls, mostly connecting it to an Alpha One Z engine. On average, a boat size between 16 and 26 feet is ideal for installing the system with the optimum performance. With a lower hull self-weight, longer range and higher top speed can be achieved.
Installation is currently limited to eKraft engineers and technicians.
The average installation time of the system is 4-6 weeks, but it may vary depending on the hull.
We recommend to purchase a boat without the combustion engine, because the removal of the engine have additional cost.
After removing the engine of the used boat, the eKraft powertrain system can be installed, if the hull is suitable for it.
We install our powertrain systems in the assembly hall located at: H-2120 Dunakeszi Pallag utca 26.
In case of the installation of the eKraft powertrain system, we undertake the transport of the boat and its full administration within the borders of Hungary.
The standard product, the eKraft 200 is equipped with a 72 kWh Li-ion battery pack.
The entire battery system consists of battery boxes, the location of which is unique for each type of vessel. Their exact placement is planned by a specialized ship engineer who takes the best driving dynamics and the retention of the usable space into account.
We use Li-ion battery technology that has the best energy density and longevity currently available.
You can access the charge calculator by clicking here.
The system can be charged from both residential and industrial networks, depending on the equipment. An on-board charger (OBC) is included in the system by default and a DC fast charging option is available on request.
Calculated for batteries used during the 5-months seasonal period from May 1 to September 30:
3 charges / week: 15 years (66 charging cycles / season)
5 charges / week: 9 years (110 charging cycles / season)
7 charges / week: 6 years (154 charging cycles / season)
The values calculated above are estimates based on the most accurate manufacturer data provided. The charging cycle also depends on the application, so we can only calculate approximate values.
One charging cycle means using and recharging all the energy that can be stored in the battery.
According to the manufacturer, the capacity of a battery cell decreases to 80% after 1000 complete cycles (80%: the battery cell is considered faulty).
During navigation, the system signals when a predetermined minimum level is reached - which can be adjusted individually - and switches to emergency mode, so you can get to the nearest charging point with reduced power.
Note: Full power can be reached even after reaching the minimum level, but is not recommended for safety reasons.
On the dashboard of eKraft systems, you will find our own software. You can see shipping and powertrain data in different views, your current position, or even the weather forecast.
The eKraft powertrain systems have 3 years warranty.
To prolong battery life, it is recommended to store the boat in a temperate location during winter.
